No, we generally don't sponsor creation of your content (blogs, newsletters, videos, social media posts, etc)

All sponsorship requests are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Educative doesn't create content for you. We can assist you with sharing an advise and sharing our creatives/logos, share a full free access to create a POV video, for example. You also can get inspiration from our blogs: educative.io/blog.

At the same time, it's up to you how you structure your schedule and cadence.

The more you publish high-quality content with your affiliate links, the more you earn in commissions.

Yes! Once approved, you will receive a link from HelloSign to complete your paperwork, which includes the tax information (W-9 or W-8BEN/W-8BEN-E), the partnership agreement, and your PayPal ID.

We use HelloSign (aka "Dropbox Sign") to sign the necessary paperwork that we keep on file for your affiliate account

After the paperwork is complete by you and Educative Inc, you will receive a welcome email with further steps and instructions. The whole onboarding process might take up to 3-5 days depending on when you sign the paperwork.

Common mistakes (we will have to re-send you the paperwork if you made these errors):

#1 W-9: missing SSN or EIN
#2 W-8BEN: missing Tax ID (section 6a) or not checked "if FTIN not legally required" (section 6b)
#3 W-8BEN-E: missing Tax ID in Part 1 (similarly to the error #2 for individuals)
#4 Putting your birthday as a date you signed the form
#5 Putting your company's name vs using your own name as a signer to sign the paperwork
#6  Not using your real name that is listed on your government ID

In the paperwork link from HelloSign, specify your other payment method right next to the "PayPal ID" field. It's okay to enter other information, which is not your PayPal ID.

When you join the program, you are assigned an Affiliate ID, which you can append to any Educative URL using ?aff=

For example:

When a learner accesses the course with a URL containing your unique Affiliate ID, we allocate a cookie referencing your Affiliate ID. The cookie remains valid for 30 days.

On each subsequent visit through the affiliate link, the cookie is renewed for another 30 days. Any sale within this 30 day period counts as an affiliate sale, even if it isn’t of the specific course that brought the learner to Educative.

You can view the sales attributed to you by visiting your affiliate dashboard in your educative.io account

The standard payout method is PayPal. Educative sends payments on 15th of every month (or on the following Monday if 15th is a weekend/holiday) for sales completed two months prior.

For example, you will receive your payment for August sales on October 15. This one month lag is to account for the 30 day return policy.

1) The first and foremost rule is to avoid spam. Educative reserves the right to deactivate affiliate accounts engaging in behavior that negatively impacts our brand.

2) Share thoughtful and meaningful content where you feel learners will genuinely benefit from our courses.

3) Avoid sharing links with your Affiliate ID based links on social forums such as HackerNews and Reddit. This can get Educative banned from those forums.

4) When you are granted a free full access to our platform, you are expected to use it only for content creation purposes. If you request this access and not create any content associated with Educative, we reserve the right to deactivate your account. Additionally, we cannot grant such access for those, who haven't officially joined the program. If you are not our partner yet and you want to explore our platform - start a 7-day free trial instead.

5) Do not run paid ads and/or bid on any terms that include "Educative coupon" in it. It's unfair towards other members of our Affiliate Program community and may result in deactivation.
